Society News

Atalopedes campestris, male

This portion of the website is dedicated to presenting news that will be of interest to all Society members and perhaps to others also. Of course, the print publication, News of the Lepidopterists' Society, published quarterly, will have much more. If you know of Society news that would be appropriate here, contact the webmaster.

2008 Society annual meeting scheduled

Our next meeting will be held in Starkville, MS (USA), hosted by Dr. Richard Brown and his colleagues. The collections the Mississippi Entomological Museum at Mississippi State University will be available for viewing by participants. Mark your calendar for June 23 through 27. To see details and find registration materials, go HERE.
Membership Renewal for 2008

Dues Notices and Ballots for 2008 were mailed in November, 2007. The Dues Notice once again contains an optional demographic questionnaire, asking the age group of members (last year's survey was very instructive). This year, however, we have added space to indicate the gender of the member. Included with the Dues Notice and Ballot is a separate form that members can use to update their contact information, in preparation for the next biennial Membership Directory due in November 2008. If you haven't yet renewed your membership, now is the time.
